Toys can obviously taste -- Bullseye enjoys cheese-puff dust, and Mrs. Potatohead packed her husband some snacks "in case you get hungry". Maybe they eat like Data -- they don't have to, but they just like it sometimes.Not so secretly, I love people when they're eating. Sometimes I see strangers eating and I just want to hug and kiss them. It makes me happier than practically anything. (My husband, on the other hand, mostly can't stand to see people eat, and does his best to pretend it's not happening. Which might explain why he's such a prickly old badger sometimes.) I think I get it from my mother, who expresses her love through hugging and food. She almost never goes anywhere without a baked good to share. She likes to look at us when the family's all together and clap her hands and say, "I just love when all my babies are eating!"
Ha ha, there's a little slice of my life for ya.
These were just a couple little doodles I quite liked. I wanted to see how it'd look if I colored them without inking, but I think it's more trouble than it's worth. Cute enough for a first try.

Oh I love the sheriff munching! Golly, they are both cuter than a bug's ear. I have always shared your love of people eating (unless of course they're smacking with their mouths open like a crazy person) and getting this chicken bacon pasta salad ready for tomorrow is exciting in the idea of everyone trying it and hopefully liking it. Such a great piece, though I must say the background is a little tough to see. Some lush green background might suit it also, as if they were nabbing their snacks right off mom's bushes.

The background was a total lazy-ass afterthought. It would look great if it were shady and green, like on the edge of the patio in the backyard or something... Maybe I'll ink the doodle and see what I can do!

This makes me smile like you wouldn't believe. Woody looks so darn happy eating that strawberry - it's like it's the most delicious thing in the world. I love his cheeks! They're like a little squirrel's. And, Jessie's all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.
Plus, as if Woody and Jessie aren't cute enough, I'll be darned if that isn't the adorable-est slice of life I've heard in a long time.

GUH. This is... so adorable. I just love their rosy cheeks and facial expressions, and the somewhat sketchy look about them, they look so content! Haha, that's quite an adorable quirk of yours. 
It seems to me that they can use the use the 5 human senses to some extent. They can taste, and feel pain, but not as much as a normal human would, and they apparently need to be able to breathe as well. It's interesting. x)

There are all sorts of weird rules about toys, and the Toy Story people have, astoundingly, never made any that contradict each other. I have no idea how they keep this shit straight!
My husband wanted to watch the first Toy Story the other night, and he kept laughing at me because I was rapt as a little kid. Usually I'm knitting, drawing, whatever, but I couldn't. And every time Woody got upset, I'd think, Man, somebody should just stuff some strawberries into that man, maybe give him a backrub.
