I know your art is a major target for stealing, but wouldnt you need to put the watermark higher up to reduce the risk? It just seems like art thieves could just crop off the watermark couldn't they?

They could but most people don't bother to change anything in the pictures they use for there blogs or whatever (my experience). It's too much work to do that with all that stuff they take. If they really want to hide the source they prefer to use just another piece out of the big pool. Another reason is I don't want to destroy the artwork.

I commend you on keeping the artwork the same, a lot of people don't even realize that stealing from a major contributor to a well known art site is a really stupid idea. They should realize all thats going to happen is them being flamed.
