History:
Hypnos is the first to say that he’s a lazy person. If he’s ever seemed like he had a productive or ambitious bone in his body, it’s because his mom put the fear of God into him, or because of separation anxiety from his twin brother, Thanatos. This separation anxiety is what led Hypnos to apply and attend the college that Thanatos decided to study at...though Hypnos wasn’t crazy enough to apply to the same program.

Thanatos was studying to be a Medical Examiner and when Hypnos saw all the work that it would take, he said, “I’ll pass.” Instead, Hypnos decided to float around in a Liberal Arts degree while he contemplated what he wanted to do in life. Everyone told him to do what he was passionate about, but the thing that Hypnos was most passionate about was sleeping. “Maybe I’ll become a Professional Sleeper,” he mused aloud one day, which earned him a slipper to the head, courtesy of his mother.

Usually, summer was Hypnos’ favorite. He didn’t have to worry about waking up early to get to class and he didn’t have to worry about having potential all nighters in order to complete an essay. Unfortunately, his mother wasn’t having it this summer and had filled out an application for him to be a Lifeguard at Camp Sunshine. (How is he qualified to be a Lifeguard if he’s so lazy, you ask? Thanatos had decided to get qualified one year and Hypnos followed along.)

“You sleep your days away! You need to do SOMETHING productive!” his mom lectured him.

And that’s why he’s here. Doing work. Sigh.
