History:

Natalia was born some time in the 1500s during the age of the Renaissance. As the oldest daughter, she was encouraged to marry someone of high status, but none of the men really wanted her because of her liberal nature. They thought she wasn’t housewife or mother material, either.

Not wanting to deal with her parents’ disappointment, she left on a journey around the world with her favorite cousin who was not very interested in marrying, and, Natalia suspected, preferred the company of men. She never caught him outright, though, and she never confronted him about it even until his death.

When they were in a small village in India, Natalia desperately wanted to be able to communicate with the people in their own language. Her cousin wasn’t as interested in being fluent and was more interested in knowing enough to get around and out of trouble. He preferred being a tourist and sightseeing but Natalia wanted to form relationships. Attracted to this, a daegra possessed her, and suddenly she was deaf, mute, and occasionally saw things and heard voices in her head. Her cousin was worried and wanted to take her back home, but Natalia was stubborn and even without her voice managed to convince her cousin that she was fine.

A year and a half later, Natalia was suddenly hearing and talking again, and she seemed quite normal. Her cousin noted that she was a level more obsessive than before, and somehow she knew languages she shouldn’t have known, but he brushed it off. Perhaps Natalia was smarter than any of them thought she was. He brushed it off until they noticed, fifteen years later, that she hadn’t aged at all. Eventually, although they were only three years apart, her cousin looked as though he could be her uncle.

Natalia was afraid that her cousin would accuse her of being some sort of supernatural creature or demon, but he accepted her with a hug, and on his deathbed, willed all of his belongings and money to her as though she were his daughter.

Obviously unable to stay in one place, she continued to move from place to place and never settled down.

It was finally the 1800s, and Natalia was in France wondering what in the world she should do next and inwardly complaining about female fashion when a letter came to her about a job in Godsglaow. Thinking this a wonderful opportunity, she immediately accepted and found herself in England.
Power: Communication

Ability 1: Psychic Communication- The ability to communicate with multiple people mentally. It would be as though they were having a group call- which means the other people Natalia is communicating with would be able to hear each other as well as Natalia. Natalia is able to kick people out of conversations and add people to conversations. She can only activate this power if they’re in her line of sight. They can move away from each other after that, but communication gets harder after a mile.
    Tier 1: She can communicate with up to two people mentally.
    Tier 2: She can communicate with up to four people mentally.
    Tier 3: She can communicate with up to six people mentally.
Ability 2: Script Translate- With this power she can read other people’s written language with a glance. This power is best used for reading short messages/signs rather than books.
    Tier 1: Eyes get sore after 1 minute of reading a language non-stop.
    Tier 2: Eyes get sore after 2 ½ minutes of reading a language non-stop.
    Tier 3: Eyes get sore after 5 minutes of reading a language non-stop.
Ability 3: Projective Omnilingualism- Natalia projects an invisible bubble in which everyone within that bubble can understand each other even if they all speak another language.
