◆P e r so n a l i t y:
o- INDEPENDENT: Zen is an independent individual that prefers working alone and being alone, because he thinks that he can get stuff done faster if he's by himself (which is true most of the time). He doesn't mind company: as long as they're not loud, a sass, high-nosed bastard, or obviously spoiled. He prefers it if you're intelligent enough to hold an interesting conversation with him and stimulate his mind.
o- ROUTINE: Zen is the type that has a boring, regular routine every single day: wake up, eat breakfast at a cafe, go to work, finish work, go back home, and sleep. He almost never breaks his routine, though he doesn't particularly mind it if it he does. He just has a routine because he doesn't know what else he could do.
o- DISLIKABLE: He's may be hard to approach and he is a cold person. After you try to touch him and get a knife pointed at your face, you know he's cold. He may snap at you and if he dislikes you in some way, you'll probably dislike him back. The one thing that he hates analyzing is his feelings, which makes him emotionally detached. He has no problems with carrying out a casual conversation while killing someone, as long as that someone is supposed to be killed: he's not that heartless.
◆Di v i s i o n:
Spy
◆L i k es:
o Tea (Jasmine tea in particular)
o Classical Music
o Small cafes: it's nice and quiet, so he can sit in the cafe and just let his mind wander while peacefully enjoying his meal/tea.
o Reading
o Intelligent people that can stimulate his mind
◆D i s l i k e s:
o Food Courts: because there are so many different smells, he gets ill and nauseous.
o Getting touched: he will only let a select few touch him, and these are only people who are really close to him.
o Loud Noises: He can't concentrate if there's too much noise.
o Rich, spoiled brats, or people that just have no respect
◆H i s t o r y:
Zen's family was a rather poor family who had accumulated many debts over the years. It was nearly impossible for them to repay their debt; they had only paid back much, much less than half, and they didn't know what in the world they could do. So, a shady businessman, who Zen's father turned to, suggested that they sell their one and only son to his wealthy friend. The businessman would persuade his friend to buy his son the exact amount that they owed, and according to him, he was very easy to persuade. Obviously, it was a difficult decision, but if they let their debt accumulate higher, they would never be able to pay anything back. Reluctantly, Zen's father agreed to the deal.
At the time, Zen was only three years old and would be making four in a few days. He was forcefully ripped from his mother's arms, who was quite hysterical that her son was being taken away from her. Feeding off of his mother's panic, Zen also started to cry and kick, but it was futile, and the boy was taken away to become a toy of a wealthy man's son.
They were somewhat playmates, but whenever Zen didn't want to play, the young master often forced him too, using his authority over Zen as leverage- threatening him. While he was definitely being given better things than what he had at home, he still missed his parents, especially his mother. After a while, Zen began to feel homesick, and he started getting tired of being suffocated by all the material things that his master was forcing onto him. Still, Zen couldn't complain, it was one of the rules his master had set up. He couldn't complain, refuse to do something, go anywhere without his master, do anything without his master's permission, or talk about being homesick.
He was to be a perfect toy: a living doll, and Zen started to hate living like this.
As they grew older, like all kids with toys, the young master started to get bored of all the toys he had when he was younger, including Zen; he no longer played with him for hours on end. Zen hoped that he's be returned to his family, even though it had been ten years since he last saw them, and probably wouldn't even know their voices if he heard them. But luck was not on Zen's side, and the young master still hadn't kicked him out -for whatever crazy reason. So, Zen decided that maybe if he acted rebellious, his master would get frustrated with him and "forcefully" throw him out.
Of course, the plan totally backfired on him, and he was punished. The most disgusting and horrifying thing was that the teen, Zen's master, enjoyed it. Zen's master decided that Zen was fun again, and thus began Zen's days of living with physical abuse and torment.
He discovered his ability when the young master was especially pissed off, two years after the young master developed his abusive tendencies. Zen was practically his punching bag whenever he was angry or just plain bored, so after hearing glass breaking, he knew he was in a world of hurt. The strange thing was that he could hear the servants murmuring in panic, trying to avoid him so that they wouldn't make him even more angry. He could even smell the pie that was baking in the kitchen, half burnt since the young master's anger was distracting the cooks.
Then, he heard gunshots and screams. Panicked, scared, and confused, Zen hid in the walk in closet, locking himself in. He breathed heavily into his hands, which he had thrown over his mouth to prevent himself from screaming. Zen didn't know what to do when he heard men outside, talking about searching the house for him specifically. Somehow, these men had found out that his master had a special servant: Zen himself. The abused boy froze in place when he heard the footsteps getting closer to the closet, and murmurs that he couldn't make out because of the ringing in his ears.
Finally, after what seemed like hours, the doors flew open, and there stood three men in black suits. He panicked when they grabbed him, but immediately calmed when they told him that they weren't going to harm him in any way, and that after they had the doctors check on him, he could go home. After years of living with this crazy male, his parents had finally found their way to financial stability, and had requested the SS Alliance to rescue their son. Fortunately and unfortunately, the family they sold Zen to was made of corrupt people that used money from the government for themselves: at least the agency had a good reason to get rid of them.
Although he was happy to be returned to his family, Zen was already older: around sixteen, and he was distant with them due to what he had gone through for twelve years. He didn't hate his family for selling him, but he felt like a complete stranger in the house, like he didn't belong; he couldn't even let anybody touch him anymore. So much had happened, and he apparently had two brothers and a sister. After debating it a little, Zen decided that he would leave his family's home after he finished with his education as well as his Martial Arts training. (Not that training would ever truly be finished, but his time at the school would.)
He didn't want to work in a regular office for the rest of his life, and he didn't want to work in a fast food restaurant either. No, he didn't want to work at any regular job: he wanted to work with the SS Alliance. After doing some research on the location of their headquarters, he set off to apply, hoping that they would accept him.
◆F la w s/ W e a k n e s s:
o While his sensitivity is his ability, it's also his weakness in the fact that if it's too strong (the smell, noise, or temperature of whatever he touches) it can be used against him. So if he has a hard time paying attention to you, it's not because he's boring or that he has a short attention span, it's just that you guys are in a place with a lot of 'something' that can affect the senses.
o His personality might turn people off; he might have a hard time making allies or friends.
o He's allergic to most sweets and desserts.
◆S t r e n g t h s/ T a l e n t s:
o Martial arts: He knows hand to hand combat, but he's best at fighting with a weapon. His favorite weapon is the Butterfly Knife.
o Acting: While he's a cold person naturally, he can switch to being a gentleman in a flash.
o He's not a gullible person, and analyzes everything before acting.
◆N at i o n a l i t y: Japanese / English with his Japanese genes being dominant in his appearance
◆Q u o t e s:
"Don't touch me."
◆Re l a t i o n s h i p s:
None
◆A d d i t i o n a l I n f o r m a t i on:
-He has a British accent, and because he can talk in fluent Japanese also, Japanese words may slip out of his mouth in his sentences from time to time.
-He can touch others, but others can't touch him.
-He's seke. (Mostly uke since I like rping ukes better than semes.)
