I don't think PartyWithTheDemons disapproves of female gamers. I think what she's trying to say is that she disapproves of the ones who constantly shout, "I'M A GIRL GAMER OMG!!!" just to get attention.
There's nothing wrong with being a female and enjoying video games (as I am a female and I, in fact, enjoy video games) but whenever girls constantly state that they're gamers just to get attention it gives the rest of us a bad rep.Β

It's just that (this is my part of the conversation though)
everytime I play, other gamers just think I'm a boy and it gets frustrating from time to time since my own hacker calls me gay since I use Girl-ish Anime for Profile Pics .-. (no pun/offense intended)but that's my opinion, it hurts but when I tell them that I'm a girl or I'm new here, they seem to tone things down like, make it a little easier for us (sometimes). I'm not bragging, we just want the boys to know that they're not the only ones who can play these or that, my own brother once looked down on me saying that Β "your won't understand what I'm playing so buck off" or something like that so.... yea .-. (What I'm trying to say is that when we sometimes play, the boys just underestimate me and my friends and they sometimes even insult the girl population when we play) (Ps: it's hard to explain so if you don't get it, I'm sorry

I just think it is odd to label female gamers "girl gamers", while we call male gamers, well, gamers. This whole "girl" gaming topic is not gender equality, it's just taboo.

Sorry if I ended up like a straw feminist or something. Subjects like this are quite touchy and really can't please any side. While the female gamers who want to be noticed adore the idea, other female gamers or male gamers may disapprove it, thinking it's as wrong as an African person to call themselves the N word. And no, it's not right to call yourself a fascist slur even if you are that particular race.

No no no, you didn't at all. I was just making a mockery of the "social justice" people who think stuff like this is empowering for some reason.
While it's not quite as bad as racial slurs, in my opinion, it is ridiculous. I myself am a female gamer, but I think it's just as stupid to be proud of it as it is stupid to be proud of being a female watcher of movies. No one caarrressss.
