Description
[ ENGLISH ]
Kiara was walking through the meadows in search of her friends. She was bored a lot, and she couldn't even bother her brother anymore to have fun. He had started his journey to the Tree of Life a few weeks ago.
With all the lessons about being a queen to learn and her father's constant overprotectiveness, there wasn't much to do either. But today, Simba wasn't around. He would probably be fulfilling one of the many tasks that correspond to him as king, which she would have to do in the future. Her mother wasn't there either. And because of that, the afternoon would not only be boring, but lonely, if she didn't find someone to hang out with.
That's when she decided to look for her friends, Tiifu and Zuri. He hadn't gotten together with them for a long time, and he missed their afternoons of games and talks. Being a teenager is complicated, more so if you are the future queen.
It is then that she recognizes the scent of both of them, and she follows her trail. How lucky, she could feel that both were already together, he wouldn't have to look for them separately. But as soon as she was within a few feet of them, she froze on the spot.
She watched her friends play almost as if they were cubs. But… there was something else there. She didn't know how to describe it, but she could see that between laughter and games some blushes appeared on the cheeks of them. She didn't understand why. They reminded her of when she, younger, met that lion from the Outlands, Kovu. His expression at that moment of games resembled the one her old friends had at that time.
But… no, it couldn't be. Kiara had been too interested in this young lion. The bravery that he had shown in helping her when they escaped from the crocodiles, generated a certain feeling, some kind of... love. Even though they have seen each other just a few times...
But… that couldn't be happening to them! I mean, they were her friends…and two lionesses too! She had never seen anything like it.
Between a fear to interrupting something that she shouldn't, and the uncertainty that the situation caused her, she decided to turn around and go back to her home. The afternoon would be based on counting how many rocks surrounded Pride Rock or how many ants returned to her home…. Again.
Still, she didn't plan to stay like this forever. She had to talk this over with someone. Her father... has never been very understanding when it comes to sentimental issues, but her mother would know how to listen. She would wait for her to come back to ask her about what she had seen…
