Description This is a fairly old painting, and it's not finished, i did it as a way to practice my landscapes, cos i'm not that good at them, but as i haven't finished it yet i still don't know how good i really am at them, chances are i'm better than when i started it, but i still don't expect to be that great!

The painting depicts a scene from JRR Tolkien's Lord of The Rings, The Two Towers, Chaper II The Riders Of Rohan, Logolas, Aragorn and Gimli look out over the plain of Rohan, the river Entwine and in the far distance, Fangorn Forest and beyond, the Misty Mountains.
"Ahead and eastward they saw the windy uplands of the Wold of Rohan that they had alrady glimpsed many days ago from the Great River. North-westward stalked the dark forest of Fangorn; still ten leagues away stood it's shadowy eaves, and it's further slopes faded into the distant blue. Beyond there glimmered far away, as if floating on a grey cloud, the white head of Methedras, the last peak of the Misty Mountains. Out of the forest the Entwash flowed to meet them, it's stream now swift and narrow, and it's banks deep cloven. The orc-trail turned from the downs towards it."
