An original illustration at last! No humans, see? AhahahaOk, I needed to get this out of my system. I've been dealing with a kind of artblock and suddenly this scene appeared in my mind while working on commissions at ungodly hours three nights ago.
I've been skipping back and forth between commissions and this.
I'm really happy with the result. This is my first time ever working with such an abstract concept and I did quite well, in my opinion.

My... It's really impressive to see from you this kind of artwork. ^^ The fishes are well done and what mostly impresses me is the coloring you used. Is from your style but at the same time it isn't...
I notice that is a little more brighter than the usual, even tho you still respected your usual details and characteristics.

It's the colouring which strikes me the most; so vivid and bright. It's always your colouring which impresses me the most but that's not to say that I don't appreciate the rest of the picture!
The fish kind of look like poltergeist's because of the dissipating smokey fins. You know what I mean, right? It's kind of trippy, as if these fish are deities of a symbolic novel. If not, then their role would be creepy spectators who know more than they are letting on about a certain event of a story.
I'm probably thinking too much about this :I
Maybe that thing in the middle is a sacred object in which a hero must obtain to accomplish something. Maybe these fish are protecting it.
...I'll stop now.

I dunno, but it sure does look cool. The colors are really pretty, and I love the bubbles and the way the fish-thingies kinda... disintegrate in their tail ends.
