Biography:
Harry Oscar Spartacus was a brilliant engineer even at a young age, and was fascinated with all things mechanical, not having any parents and growing up in an orphanage, Harry would use his knowledge of electronics to make money by fixing cars and broken devises, his potential would be recognized by someone who would anonymously donate enough money to not only to get Harry out of the orphanage and into his own accommodations at age 12, but to also fund his education, and he would quickly become a child prodigy in the schools he attended.

In 1992, Harry would attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he would study theoretical physics and engineering, and earn a Ph.D. after writing a thesis on teleportation theory’s, and after graduating M.I.T. in 2000, Harry would pique the interest of a scientific research facility located in the New Mexico desert that was researching and even developing teleportation technology, he would be hired onto this project, and would become instrumental in making the idea of teleportation a reality, during his time at the facility he would get the nickname Sparks from his co-workers, for both his hands on approach in the construction of the devise, and for being the impetus for many breakthroughs in the project.

On May 16th 2003, an accident in one of the labs at the research facility would send the entire complex into chaos, with Sparks being caught in the middle of it, and while the teleporter that they had been developing was operational and had been tested, there was still a risk, but with danger all around them they took the risk and Sparks would attempt to use the teleporter to evacuate his co-workers, he was successful in getting all his co-workers out, with him being the last one out of the labs they were trapped in, however the devise malfunctioned just as Sparks was in mid-teleport, and for still unknown reasons, he would be teleported not just in space, but through time itself.

Sparks would find himself in a cave on an uncharted planet in the year 2409, the cave had collapsed due to the teleporter, and he would find himself trapped with Kate Smith, a Starfleet Engineer from the Excalibur-Class U.S.S. Ranger, and after recovering from both the shock of the reveal of where and when he was, and realizing that he was talking to an alien when they got a light going, both worked together to escape, once onboard and coming to terms with his situation and new environment, Sparks requested to remain onboard the Ranger, he would be given a Field Commission in Starfleet and assigned to Engineering, and Kate would be a mentor to Sparks and teach him the unfamiliar technology and world of the 25th century, while it would take time to get used to the alien crew, he would made friends with the rest of the crew, and was a very quick learner of the ships systems and how they function, when Kate was promoted to Chief Engineer, Sparks would serve as Assistant Chief Engineer, and both he and Kate would become best friends.

In 2410, with the discovery of the Solanae Dyson Sphere, he would work alongside other Engineers in joint operations between the Federation, Klingon Empire, and Romulan Republic to stabilize and safely destroy the Omega Molecules, and with the discovery of a renewed Undine threat, an invasion of Earth and Qo'noS from the Undine would interrupt the peace summit to ease tensions between the major factions, during this battle the U.S.S. Ranger was destroyed when it was used to destroy the Undine Planet Killer and prevent it from destroying the Klingon Homeworld, shortly after this a newly refitted Verity-Class was rechristened the U.S.S. Ranger-A, and Sparks would again serve as Assistant Chief Engineer with even a promotion that officially made him a Starfleet Officer.

With the discovery of the Jenolan Dyson Sphere and an Iconian Gateway connecting to the Delta Quadrant, Sparks would be invaluable in saving and keeping the ship together on many occasions when fighting the Vaadwaur in the Delta Quadrant and during the Iconian War, which afterwards Kate would be given her own command, and Sparks would be promoted to Commander and made Chief Engineer of the Ranger-A, and would continue to save and keep the ship together during the Temporal Cold War, against the Tzenkethi Coalition and helping the Lukari take their first steps to the stars, and the Hur'q Invasion, during the Temporal Cold War, Sparks was given the opportunity to return to his own time, but declined because he liked it in the 25th century and didn’t fell he had anything left to go back to.

Now in 2411, Sparks still serves as the U.S.S. Ranger-A’s Chief Engineer, and whether it the newest threat from J'Ula and her time displaced Klingons, against Captain Killy on Pahvo, or venturing into the Mycelial Realm, Sparks continues to keep the ship together in a crisis, and coming up with technical solutions to save the day.

Personality:
Sparks has an affinity for technology and all things mechanical, loves to deconstructed and reconstruct devises to see how they work even in his spare time, and will always want to get involved in a repair jobs no matter how menial or dirty they may get, Sparks is also a very charismatic person, incredibly chatty, always has a witty remark, but he’s still easily freaked out by new aliens he first meets, in-fact he thought he was going to be devoured by Kate when they first met, but other than that, Sparks is a very charming, sociable, and intelligent person, who is very much in his element solving an engineering problem.
