I have heard of that one! And that explains a lot about Linkers look for sure!

And I use to play the old Harvest Moon 64 all the time when I was little. :3

I really really wanted that game in 2003 for my birthday but I couldn't find it, I assumed people here never played it so it was most likely rare.

It wasn't until 2015 that I was able  to get a copy though a facebook sale.

It kinda turns kids into nervous wreaks. lol
The days are to short, and if you miss an event, that's it. You miss it. Even if it was kind of important.

My first one was HM for the GBC on an emulator. Later, Harvest Moon on SNES emulated. After that one came HM back to nature for the PS1.
At that point I started looking for the real copies if I had the console, I bought the GBA one, the 3 HM that came for the gamecube.
It's a shame the harvest moon franchise as it was is dead, but at least there's still Stardew Valley.

I forgot there was a GBC version. I heard it was pretty bad, but maybe that wasn't the case.

It was enough to get me to understand the concept. Kinda like a tutorial. You couldn't interact with people in the town or get married, but you were able to grow crops and take care of chickens and cows.

I think it was the best way for me to get into the series, since I only needed to worry about the basics of the farm.

I imagine the size of a GBC game probably made it hard to add the other stuff too.
We all have that gateway game or series.

My exposure to Dragonball was actually not any of the amazing fights, it was when Goku had to catch Bubbles on King Kai's planet. lol

I caught Dragon Ball from the very Beginning, but it's an interesting Story.

The latin Dub had two versions, the first one failed horribly, and they had to make a second one. In this first version Goku was renamed "Zero" and almost every character had a different name. You can imagine my confusion when I had to watch the second dub and the characters names were completely different, including the recasting. XD

When Dragon Ball Z came out, I was already familiar with the character

Wow! We had a similar Problem here in the US.
There were 4 or 5 different dubs over the course of about 20 years.
The Funimation dubs that were made in the early 2000's for the DVD's are probably the best.

I think that was an issue. Since they imported the episodes from the US they have troubles with the translations, after that they decided to bring the Japanese version and use that. Anime in the Late 90's in Latin america was awesome, it had little to no censorship because it came directly from japan

That's why most of them preserved the original Opening themes translated from the japanese ones.

After Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh came along the started dubbing based on the english version of the show (Which is usually heavily censored most the times)

(I don't really mind the Pokemon one, I love it the way it is)

In my opinion, it was the best era for Anime in Latin america. Nowadays they don't even bother dubbing anime unless it's really popular like Naruto or One piece. One of the best dubbing studios Intertrack "Died" during the 2000's  and in my opinion the high quality anime dubbing died with them XP

At the time I didn't know anything about it, I find out about all this story fairly recently, only because I got interesting in knowing what happened with the quality dubbing of my childhood.

That was really cool to listen to the spanish versions! I have a small collection of them, so this was a nice add to that collection. Thank you!

The best era of Latin Dubs.

I'm a bit biased of course, but there's nothing like that anymore, at least not that I'm aware off.

Here's a second version of the Second intro of DBZ, full version with Spanish subtitles.

If you happen to have another cartoon or anime in mind, maybe I can look it up I even have the complete version of the spanish Pokerap XD

Not sure if you like Metal or not, but I adore this Spanish version of Head Cha La.

Yeah it was a great era for anime all around. The Japanese economy had tanked and there weren't as many animes coming out anymore, so the ones they did make had to realyl connect with its viewers. I feel like they use to really try back then and make more interesting and original ideas.

You showed me this before.

After that, I listened to all the covers he had (at least the ones from the shows I'm familiar with)

The ideas were also really marketable and less japan-centric if you think about it. I also didn't had a hard time buying merchandise from the show, like toys or cards, because they were really popular.

Nowadays, it's hard to find shows that have the same level of influence as they did during those days, The end of the TV era as I like to address it.

lol, I wasn't sure if I had or not.

Yeah, now there are soooooo many different animes out there. So few worth watching...

And the older we get the less time we have to watch them all.

You start to get really selective because you can't watch every thing xP
