Description
The main reason for this pic is that I was in the mood to draw Terra, and I decided to throw Link in there as well. Before anyone jumps to any conclusions, NO I do not ship them; I'm still a major (hardcore?) Link&Starfire shipper. I just see Link and Terra being good friends. Besides, I still support Beast Boy and Terra (otherwise, that one girl in one of my other pics, Zodiac, wouldn't exist. Here's a link for those curious: linkstar-number1.deviantart.co... . )

I honestly do not see why so many people hate Terra. Is it mainly because of her getting in the way of BBxRae? I know Beast Boy and Raven had a relationship in the comics, but I don't see it happening in the show. Is it because she betrayed the team? The girl's powers were out of control and she was kinda insecure about it, plus wherever she tried to do good she would just end up causing trouble, then everyone turns against her. Can you honestly blame her? Also, it was all because of Slade's mind games, but nope, people decide to hate on Terra but completely disregard the fact that it was really all Slade's fault. Is it because she broke Beast Boy's heart? To be fair, he broke her heart first. I distinctly remember him saying: "Slade was right, you don't have any friends!" ....Ouch. That was cold. Yes, I know she deactivated the Tower's security so that Slade's robots could get in, but as I mentioned before: she's an insecure little girl who has been through a lot of messed up stuff. Besides, for all we know, maybe she was hoping that they'd be able to handle the attack; at least until BB broke her heart, then she could care less.

Anyway, I see a lot of reasons why Link and Terra could be good friends (and most of this is in regards to the Link from my fanfiction, Titan Legends). First, and this is straight from my fanfic, both of them betrayed the team and went to work for Slade. The only difference is that Terra was manipulated by Slade, while Link was influenced by a different outside force (by that, I mean Majora's curse. Although Slade's mind games had a hand in it as well). Plus, ironically, Dark Link ends up betraying Slade in the end, saying that he serves no one. Another difference is that after Link is returned to normal, he is accepted back into the Titans (maybe because they didn't want to make the same mistake that they did with Terra; y'know, giving up).
Second, Link and Terra are kinda similar in appearance, other than the fact that they are different genders of course. Heh, Sometimes (and this is completely non-canon) whenever I see Starfire hugging Terra, I feel that she reminds her of her long lost friend Link and that's why she hugs her so bone-crushingly tight. I know that's not the case, but still... I like to think of it that way.
A third reason, is that they both travel around a lot. Although Link travels around for adventure (and if you take volume one into account, to reassemble the Spirit Key), while Terra travels around trying to do good (mostly failing at it).

In conclusion, I am one of those people who does not hate Terra for any reason, supports her being with Beast Boy, and sees the possibility of her and Link being really good friends (almost like brother and sister. Yes, I know Terra has a brother, but still). In fact, for my fanfic, once he finds out about her from Beast Boy, Link is gonna be the one who convinces her to rejoin the team. Witnessing the Titans in a fight against Majora will ultimately decide her choice. But all of this doesn't come until volume seven (volume six will be a three-part origin story telling of the events in the ancient past that ultimately lead up to the main events in my fanfic).
