Description
A sailor of the British Royal Navy serving during the Second World War.This 'Matelot', is dressed and equipped for shore duties, either as part of a landing party or on sentry duty. He wears the no. 3 working dress with jersey and high-laced webbing gaiters and is equipped with 1908 webbing and a naval issue SMLE rifle.
With few changes he could be serving at any time between 1908 and the mid-1950's.
