Description
A voice made Sora look up from where he was sitting to see a familiar male with short dark brown hair and crystal blue eyes in a dirty grim covered blue t-shirt and jeans smiling gently down at him. Sora smiled back and he pointed towards the blond that was currently sleeping on his lap. He blushed and told him what happened in his absence, making his friend, Darek, fake gasp.
"And I missed this!" he said, returning to his full height. "how could I have missed this! I am terrible father!" the brunette giggled. "well..I can make up for it. Anyways, I know you love him but he should head home. Your only serving a year aren't you?" Sora nodded. "...then send him home."

Chapter 3
Go Home and Wait For Me

Roxas stirred lightly when Darek shook him awake. He opened his eyes and Sora smiled at him gently as he sat up and introduced them before standing up and walking off. His fiance went to protest but the worries were shooed away just as Sora left. Soon though, Karla and Sora came back and both sat down on the ground. For once, the thief wasn't loaded down. They talked for awhile before Darek and Karla left. Leaving Sora and Roxas alone and in silence until the brunette spoke up.
"Roxas..." Sora started. "I know you want to stay and I'd like you to as well...but I've seen what happens to people and prison changes them. I don't want you to stay here too long and risk these people hurting you."
"They won't hurt me. I'm not leaving either. You shouldn't even be in here Sora. You didn't do anything," the blond reminded him. "besides, I don't want to go back home alone."
"I'm only serving a year and time...seems to go somewhat fast here so I may be home sooner then I think."
"A year? For someone's crime?" the brunette nodded. "...I'll leave tomorrow then if that is what you want me to do."
Sora smiled warmly. "thank you..." "but, you have to come back after a year! Otherwise I will come right back and stay for the whole time," Roxas sighed. "promise?"
"Promise....and again, thank you..."
"No worries, just hope you stay safe."
A voice and steps made them look to see another prisoner walking towards them. This time, speaking Spanish and it sounded like they were cursing them out. Sora translated for Roxas though when he spoke to them, more like yelling.
"Te reto a una pelea jail-cell, aquí y ahora! [I challenge you to a jail-cell fight, here and now!] " Sora sighed and Roxas looked at him oddly. "se aceptan? [do you accept?]."
The brunette stood just as Roxas did, translating what had been said before turning from Roxas to the prisoner. "Condenado o preso? [Convict or inmate?]" Sora asked. The reply back was convict and he nodded slowly as he walked up to him. "...okay then...you know how these fights work then?" a nod. "you know that they usually end with someone dead right?" another nod.
"Your going to fight him in your condition?" the blond asked.
Sora suddenly elbowed the convict and knocked him to the ground. "can't turn a challenge down here sadly, makes you look weak." The convict stood and slowly regained his stance and balance. "though...this is more of a fight then a jail-cell fight."
"There is a difference?" Roxas asked, shoving his hands into his pockets.
The brunette nodded and dodged an attack. "yep, Jail-cell fight is where you are...locked in a cell with no way out unless you kill your opponent. No one usually challenges me though." his lover's look plainly asked him why and he smiled sadly. "this is why love."
A creature appeared out of his hood and jumped down, changing from its mini size to a large cat like creature with a long tail. Black fur mixed with spikes and sharp claws with a blue and black collar circled around the convict while Sora moved away.
"Meet Zyra...my little friend who helps me out in tight binds," the brunette introduced. "warning, she hates a lot of people and usually eats them."
The convict watched the creature closely as Zrya growled as she kept circling him. Roxas whistled and Sora smiled when his little friend finally pounced.
"See? Told you he'd be eaten."
"Yeah...guess so," the blond commented.
When her little feeding frenzy was done, Zrya walked over and rubbed against both of their legs, making Sora giggle as she slowly climbed up Roxas, changing size until she was back to her small mini size and sitting on his shoulder. The blond smiled at her as she nuzzled against his neck as she passed by and jumped onto Sora's shoulder.
"I think she likes me," Roxas smiled.
"Yeah...she does," the brunette smiled as he sat down slowly. "ow...that is rare, normally she hates anyone." Sora yawned suddenly and blinked slowly. "I'm still sleepy?"
"Well...how long have you been up?" he asked.
"...two weeks..."
Roxas nodded slowly. "I'm surprised your still up but now that you have slept, your body is telling you that you need more rest now." Sora nodded weakly. "you sure you want me to leave you here?"
"Yes...I am, you shouldn't have to sit in prison with me," the brunette told him. "I love you Roxas and I don't wish to see you change due to this environment."
"What makes you think I want you to change either?" the blond sighed. "...but I digress...I'll go home. Want me to write?"
"No...but I do ask that you wait for me," his lover smiled warmly. "can you do that?"
"Yeah, I can do that," Roxas smiled.

Destiny Islands
"You purposed and then left him there!" Riku yelled as Roxas entered his and Sora's home. He had just returned from his visit with Sora and now he had to deal with Riku and Kairi and so far, both were pressing the issue that he was a terrible lover for leaving him there. "what kind of lover purposes and then l-" "Riku, I left because he personally asked me too!" Roxas yelled back as he turned to his friend. "I know you are concerned but Sora asked me to leave and I did. Only out of respect for him."
Kairi nodded sadly. "he's got a point. That is a sign of a good husband. Shows he trusts Sora to be alone. Besides, Roxas would have gotten hurt and Sora wouldn't have forgiven himself if that happened."
"Who side are you on Kai?" Riku asked.
"Both Riku" Roxas smirked while the silver haired teen stared at her. "because they both need us to keep them going in this moment."
'You just said a mouthful Kairi' Roxas thought to himself as he leaned against a wall with his back.

1 Year Later
Roxas sighed as Kairi and Riku ran up to his and Sora's house porch. He was sitting with back against the door and eyes shut. Even though his lover said it would be a year before his time was up, it was still lonely as hell to live alone and friendship only went so far. Loving someone from a far was hard and there were times when he even restrained himself from just jumping on the ship and driving over to see Sora. The brunette couldn't write or receive letters, couldn't call since they didn't believe in telephones over there. He literally couldn't contact Roxas and the same went for the blond himself, which just made the wait even more unbearable for him. Opening his eyes, he smiled at Riku and Kairi while waving before sitting up straight while two of them greeted him. Riku was still sore at him but Kairi didn't care at this point. Whether or not it was out of pity or just being concerned, she had been the one he had turned to since his other friend wasn't talking much too him.
"Hey...Roxas," Riku greeted.
"Well, nice to know we are back on talking terms," the blond sighed. "I was beginning to wonder when my punishment would end."
He got a glare and smiled back. "I'm kidding. Chill alright?"
"I wouldn't be sore if you had at least stay for half the year with Sora," Riku stated. "or at least contacted him during the stay."
Kairi shook her head. "He can't call or write to Sora, Sora can't call or write to him, what part of that do you not understand?"
"I understand it quite well Kairi, but-" his words were cut short when Roxas ran passed them. "where do you...is that..." Kairi nodded when she saw Roxas hugging Sora.
The brunette was hugging him back too. Despite how happy she was, Kairi was more concerned about how her friend look. It was like hell ate, chewed and spat him back out. "I've missed you so much" she heard Roxas say. "I know...I've missed you too." Sora sighed. "I've missed you so much."
"He looks bad," Riku commented.
"At least he is out of there," she sighed.
They eavesdropped on the conversation again. "how badly injured are you this time?" Sora laughed lightly. "not that bad, aside from the...still fractured rips, but its just light bruising and cuts, fixable by a healing spell. Collar is gone too. I can use magic again!" Roxas laughed this time. "I bet you missed that."
"You have no idea..." the brunette sighed. "did you survive the year alone?"
"Barely! God, wanted to drive and see you but I held back my impulse to do so. Was at my wits end with Riku since he was mad at me for honoring your request," the blond groaned. "its been a nightmare." the brunette leaned against Roxas while they started to walk back towards them. "they are over there too. Crap...I forgot they were there." Sora started to laugh.
"Don't worry, I won't let them kill you. Right guys?" the brunette smiled as he waved at them. They nodded and hugged him. "easy...easy, injured here."
"Oh right...its good to have you back Sora," Kairi smiled.
Riku nodded. "yeah, did they ever catch that guy that framed you?" Sora shook his head. "I see...sorry."
"Its fine. Just means I have something on my record, but its not like anyone will know that. Its in that world, not the others. Unless they spread it to everywhere else," the brunette sighed. "I hope they don't, I don't want...go visit for say Aladdin and have him ask how my stay in prison went."
"How did it go? Roxas said it was hell."
"It is hell. I just don't want to talk about it right now. Later, yes I will fill you in but...I want to shower, an actual shower, eat my fill then go to bed. I don't care what you all do but I'm just doing that for as long as I wish," their friend stated as he walked by them. "have fun chatting but I'm done staying up."
"I'm taking care of him, see you both later," Roxas told them as he followed Sora inside.
"Uh-huh, you just plan to get a little of that Sora drug you been dying to get," Riku teased.
"I'll get that later, so shut up Riku," the blond retorted before closing the door.
Kairi giggled. "so mean..."
"Hey...I didn't leave him the-ow!" "alright Riku, since Sora and Roxas have checked out," Kairi started as she grabbed Riku by the ear and started to drag him off. "you are going to entertain me for the day, got it?"
"Ow, alright I got it, I got it! Let go of my ear!"
"Now why would I do that?" She smiled.
