YOOOOOOOOOO LETS GET THIS THING GOING AGAIN!!!First Page | <-Previous Page | Next Page -> | Comic Gallery
So, to recap what's been happening in the RRC:
Tim's gone power crazy! He's made a deal with the mysterious entity within the gem, and is currently super-powerful. But he's only just ascended into what is essentially godhood, and it seems like the mysterious entity has it's own plans for Tim outside of giving him ultimate power.
Caerus, Mel Sireno, Ecto-Girl, Eve, Anathema, and Sliver have recently split from Ricochet and Magenta's group (page 62 ), and are now with Falconer/Strobe, Interrogator/Trance, and Imagine/Illusion. After Violet and Killer Flower appeared to save them from Tim's earlier rampage (page 66 ), she also joined the group. They then encountered Salamander/Skate, Forever-Man/Penumbra, and Genesis/Duplicate, who have also joined the rag-tag team (page 72 ).
Raiden had been lurking in the shadows of Salamander/Skate's camp (as of page 60 ), but now it seems he's run off, and is now trying to negotiate with Ricochet and Magenta's group (page 77 ). Magenta, Black Ice, Ricochet, and Wolf-Woman are all awake, and as Raiden approached the group Taboo woke up as well. Her tattoos have now disappeared. Ricochet, though she doesn't trust Raiden by a long shot, is willing to see what he's proposing, however, if it will help them bring Tim down.
We ended the last page with Imagine having a realization about how everything is connected. This page explores that idea. She's not sure who exactly is in the gem, only that they've got enough power to confine them all to this one area, and give Tim ultimate power beyond the gem's own abilities. Anathema shares what the gem-person said to her (from page 68 ), and Violet gets to swear. (Let Violet swear 2k16) Caerus has his own 'oh shit' moment where he realizes he almost forgot about Ricochet and Magenta's group, and proposes that they go and meet up to launch a final strike against Tim.
People who still have powers are Caerus, Raiden, Taboo, Trance, Genesis, Sliver, Ecto-Girl, Black Ice, Strobe, Violet (gargoyle), Ricochet, Interrogator, Forever-Man, Anathema, Penumbra, Duplicate, and Killer Flower.
People that appeared on this page are Caerus, Mel, Interrogator, Trance, Falconer, Strobe, Imagine, Illusion, Anathema, Sliver, Ecto-Girl, Eve, Violet, Killer Flower, Salamander, Skate, Forever Man, Penumbra, Genesis, and Duplicate.
The other group not seen on this page consists of Raiden, Magenta, Ricochet, Black Ice, Wolf-Woman, and Taboo, as well as the unconscious Violet (human), Hestia, and Rapid.
The owners of each character, as well as more info on the comic, can be found HERE . (listen it's a lot of names to type out, sorry.)
I'm going to see if I can't get this colored, whether that be digitally or with colored pencils. I do have a summer physics course that just started and goes till the end of June, but I'm a pro procrastinator so we'll see what happens.
HOLY HECK THAT GROUP SHOT WAS SUCH A CHALLENGE! I'm still pretty sure proportions are off on a lot of them...whoops.
Wanted to get this up early, since I'll be busy at summer class tomorrow. And I know this comic has been going on for a long time now, and I know we want to try and start wrapping this thing up, so I wanted to provide that final push toward the epic conclusion!
Edit of previous edit: Nat has clarified that Killer Flower was introduced earlier in the comic, was written out, and was then (illegally) introduced again on page 67. She hasn't been written out at this point so at this point she's in the comic.

NICE! Okay, that group shot was a serious accomplishment. 8O Definitely got some practice in with defining features even underneath the costume. Recognizable facial diversity ahoy! 8D All the body language and everyone's individual expressions, too...
Also: PLOT MOTION! Yesss! And now begins that little part we like to call, the CLIMAX.
...I thought it was clear that Killer Flower wasn't officially introduced, since it was both NAH's own character, AND she was introduced a page or two too soon...??? I have no idea why she was still green-dotted on the list, but I'll have to ask Nat about that one.... Commence deliberation, I guess. {XD

I remember that one, yes, but then she was introduced again on page 67? And The way everyone was talking I got a little confused about if she had been written out again or not???? Oh but Nat just answered the question in another comment below. Thanks though

Great page! I love how the story is moving forward, and thanks for the recap!
I also wanted to let you know about how Killer Flower actually isn't in the comic. To quote RavensHiddenSoul:
"we ruled that Killer Flower was an illegal introduction, and never actually showed up yet. (i know because, welp, i was the next in line and had to write it out of continuity by making it so it SEEMED like it was Flower, but was actually just a tree-branch? *shrugs timidly at obvious writerly cop-out* I don't see any harm in her being brought in soon, but per the rules, her "introduction" wasn't supposed to have happened"

Ohh ok see, I wasn't sure about that. I figured I should throw her in, because in the main journal or whatever she's got the green dot next to her but then I was looking through the old pages and I got really, reeeaaaally confused about whether she was in at this point or not. I'll edit her out asap (...and by that I mean as soon as I get a free second). Thanks!!

Regarding the Killer Flower thing, she's actually in the comic. I decided against writing her out because I figured it wasn't worth the hassle. What RHS was referring to is an earlier slip-up that was corrected, but then the character was introduced again which she might have missed. I don't remember if I ever put up an announcement and, if I didn't, I must have figured that the green dot by her name would be indication enough. Unless an actual announcement says otherwise, the dots are king.

OHHH. Ok. Thank you, because it sounded like she had been written out of the comic AGAIN, when I couldve sworn she had been introduced once more, and it was just so confusing. Thanks for clearing this up!!

If I may? It is true that when Killer Flower was first introduced, RavensHiddenSoul wrote her out of the comic by means of tree branch (page 54 - page 55). However, Killer Flower was again introduced (against the rules - specifically that you cannot introduce your own character) in page 67, with no new attempt to write her out of it. I do agree that it's things like this which make it very confusing. I have no idea whether or not Killer Flower is officially in the comic or not. Technically, she shouldn't be. Ah, with NatORen's answer, it seems she is now.
That clears things up.
Nevertheless, you've done an increddibly good job on the page. Especially the groupshot. That's quite some effort you put into it. o: Also I kind of feel special because Ana's little speech has the awkwardness of her profile's history speech in it. I would have commented sooner but I've been drained from labwork and stuff. Also I didn't know what to comment somehow.

Thanks, Legion! This is why I was confused - people were saying she wasn't in, but I couldve sworn she got reintroduced again more 'officially' this time (even though it was still, like, not 'legal', but whatever). I was like 'whelp whatever THROW HER IN THE ALREADY CROWDED GROUP SHOT OF DEATH' because I figured better to include her than not, since its easy enough to edit her out. Which, I guess now it's not necessary, hooray!
THANKS MAN!! That group shot. That took up like half my drawing power. Well, and the Interrogator scenes. He and Forever-Man are AWESOME but HELMETS, MAN. I CAN'T DRAW PEOPLE WITH HELMETS - ESPECIALLY WITH NO EYES. WHY. So time consuming, but so, so worth it, I think. And I figured Ana wouldn't be super comfortable with talking to such a big group, especially since she's still in her alternate form after the incident with the drone getting essentially killed by Tim. I can't wait to try coloring her!!!!
Ohh, I know what that's like. I'm in a summer physics class now, and the professor is showing no mercy. (help). Good luck with your lab and everything!! <3 c:
