Description
Here is a ground-level shot looking north from the South Jersey & Western's Atlantic City International Airport branch.
The RDC set on the left, heading toward us, has just come off of the SJ&W's Atlantic City mainline while a local AC freight is headed back toward Camden.
The RDC set on the right, climbing the grade, is headed to Atlantic City, via Pleasantville on the old Reading while a passenger train passes over the bridge headed towards Camden via Clementon.

Notes: The old Reading railroad did run through here but after the consolidation with the PRR's southern New Jersey railroads (RDG's Atlantic City Railroad and PRR's West Jersey & Seashore) in 1933, forming the Pennsylvania - Reading Seashore Lines, the Atlantic City Railroad's route to Atlantic City was abandoned and torn up east of Winslow Jct. The old West Jersey & Seashore route still exists and is today's NJ Transit's Atlantic City Line.
To locate the approximate location in real life look at a New Jersey map and follow the railroad to Atlantic City and find where the Garden State Parkway crosses it. The rendered location would be about 500 feet to the west of the GSP.
An airport branch could be built from the A.C. line today and it is interesting to note that as late as 1956, according to track charts, there was a siding to the U.S. Naval Air Station in this location.
The South Jersey & Western is my model railroad and is what I envision what could have happened if certain events happened differently in 1871.
