Description
The creature's grip was relentless, and pulled the man under the water. There was no immediate sign of Reef, but Dryden found himself face to face with another merman - one who looked entirely unlike the merboy the captain had gotten to know. Its face was gaunt and angular, and it had wild, jet-black hair, and a dark fish tail which very much resembled that of a shark. Its teeth, which were visible as it leered at him, were sharp points, and while it had let go Dryden's ankle, the clawed hands now reached for his throat.

Crest is not as nice a guy as my other mermen. He is the type who cuts nets, sinks ships, makes lifeboats capsize and sticks around to ensure the crew drowns. He is not actually evil, he is just willing to employ drastic measures to protect his home from human intruders with their harpoons, hooks and nets.
