Description
18x24" 45x60cm acrylic on hardboardBack to the present and the newest addition to my 'light and space' idea of paintings. This one is a little more literal than I usually paint. Using three different brushes should have tipped me off that I was going where I don't care to go. However, be that as it may, I did get the feeling I was looking for, so we'll let the fussiness ride. This time.

Thank you. I normally don't put more things into a painting than I think is absolutely necessary even though I know that putting people, wildlife, kittens, etc. into a painting will make it more appealing to most people. In this piece the lady (and her dog, Willie) was needed to change a rather forlorn scene into something with a warmer, vaguely romantic feeling which is what I wanted.

The one thing to remember is: I'm not trying to sell my paintings so I can just please me. If I were looking to sell them, I'd have kittens, kids, ducks and deers in all of them.
