Excitable:
She's pretty much always bouncing off walls. Even as a team leader, it's not hard to get her excited and hyped up for something.
Caring:
As leader of the X-Men, it's her job to take in young mutants and train them. Unlike any other X-Men leader (whos name starts with a C and ends with an Harles) she genuinely cares for everyone who walks through the doors. She does everything she can for them, even if it means risking her own life.
Stoic (when it comes to negative emotions)
Although it's not hard to tell when this pupper is excited, she almost always will hide any strong negative emotions. She believes she has to be strong for her team and refuses to show anything even close to tears.

BACKSTORY

Jayson Harper was born a mutant. She always had super speed and had been working her whole life to control it. Because of this, she's very in tune with her powers.
When she was barely old enough to remember things, her parents sold her to a facility that "took care" of mutants. However, it was clear once Jayson got there that they did nothing more than test on her and treat her like an animal.
Although she was rescued, she spent enough time in there to need to hide the memories. Those memories are now buried so deep that she would have to work to remember anything.
The X-Men founder and old leader (not charles or erik! No cannon characters in this!) rescued her and took her in. He treated her like a child and when he became too old, and too sick, to continue leading the X-Men, he saw no one better than Jay to take his place.
Although she's not very old yet, she's taking the responsibility well and has grown into her position as leader.

Burr is the Avengers leader, Jayson is the X-Men leader. These two teams have a tense relationship and are often considered "enemies that will come together only if absolutely needed". However, these two are probably the most willing to cooperate. Consider them the parents who are friends and make their kids hang out even though their kids hate each other. Later on Burr and Jayson are significantly closer, since Burr somewhat co-parents Jayson's daughter after Endgame.

She can run at speeds faster than any normal species of animal, and could definitely lap you many times over in a race.
However, she can't run for very long. Despite training her whole life, she still has a long ways to go. Often times in battle she'll need to rely on just her fighting skills without her powers.
