Description
this was based on a mspaint drawing that i made once. it's supposed to be kakuru kujani , a species of (rather dubious) maniraptoran theropod hailing from Australia. it's actually named after the rainbow serpent of the same name from aboriginal mythology, and i'm guessing it's because the only known fossils when through a rare process of opalization, were the fossil ends up being made of opal instead of whatever sediment was around during that time.

so, in the original drawing (and her as well), i made kakuru a rather generic-looking maniraptoran, but had the colors and filaments vividly based off of various Australian parrot species, including (but not limited to):

-black palm cockatoo (head)
-major Mitchell's cockatoo (crest + tail feather)
-galah (neck + tailtip)
-bare-eyed cockatoo (eyes)
-wild + domestic budgerigar (back, body and wings)
-cockatiel (grey part of tail)

obviously some artistic liberties were added, and i was pleased with the result.
