We own a partially white betta. They can either be because of breeding, or stress. A betta who becomes stressed or ill can lose it's colors and become white, though usually not so pure.
As for the shot, it's absolutely lovely~

that's a male fighting fish... the female ones are very small and plain

Did the shot was manipulated or something?, is just that a SO white Beta is amazing... Once I saw one white, but it was not as white as this.
I think it is not an albino, because he would have pink/red eyes, isn't it?

Wow, this is a great picture. Such a pretty Betta...he or she seems to glow! My Betta is not so brightly colored.
I thought that this was a painting at first, but now I realize it's not, of course. It's a very great shot with a wonderful model, however!
