I've been recently redesigning an old OC of mine. This is her! Angie. At some point I'll give her a ref sheet, but that will be at a later date.
I haven't got the specifics of her backstory down but I have the general idea.

Her people live in the skies. They've got the whole angel aesthetic going. Huge white wings, light colored hair, light colored eyes, dark skin, and a greek-like god fashion style. You may be asking yourself, but why the dark skin? The reasoning behind the dark skin is pretty simple. The more sun you get in your life, the darker the skin. And if they live in the sky, then it's an easy assumption to make that they'd have darker skin.
Angie was born with smaller than average wings. But that shouldn't be a problem right? But, it was. They might've looked pretty big from an outsider POV. But there was no way her wings could hold her weight. With that she was never able to fly and lived a disabled life. One day she was fed up with this. And ran away from home. To where? The humans on land. They looked just like the sky people besides from a few minor differences. To Angie's POV they were living the same disabled life as her. She wanted to be just like them.
She finds herself in a small town somewhere in America. The year is somewhere in the 1980s.
There were three things she needed to change about her appearance in order to fit in. First up was her wings. There was no way she was going to hide them. So, she gauged them out. Next, her clothes. She just found some lying around the town. Her hair? She shoplifted some brown hair dye from a local store and applied it in a public bathroom.
She will eventually meet some friends, who I have not even thought about yet. But I know that they are going to take her in like a lost puppy.
Whew! That was a handful. But let's just get to the basic facts about her.
