Saw the movie last weekend, and I must say, Tim Burton is still an AMAZING storyteller and a mad creative genius. I wouldn't mind going to see it again for the visuals alone, not to mention the story itself, the dialogue, the music... oh hell, people, just GO SEE THE MOVIE.Drew this fanart of Emily, the title character, after I got back from seeing the movie. I love her character design so much! Then I spruced it up in PSP a bit, just tinting it blue and adding the butterfly brushes (from [link] ). Those of you who've seen it know what the significance of the butterflies is. ;_;

If the end would be like this, it would be great: When Emily turned into millions of butterflies, it's just a kind of old skin coming off. And under the new skin is living Emily, because Victor frees her soul. And actually it was someone who helped her because instead of her own dream she let the dream of Victor and Victoria come true. And then Victor has a big problem because he can not choose between the two

Oui , les papillons sont magnifiques , les papillons sont tres important dans le film . Je l'ai vu plusieurs fois , et toujours autant de tristesse ... Je pense que les papillons ne sont pas la par hasard. Victor nous montre au dΓ©but, qu'il est Γ©trangement attirΓ© par les papillons.Bleus en plus ! Je pense qu'il y a un lien entre l'attirance de Victor pour les papillons bleus, et la " transformation" d'Emily en papillon . En tout cas c'est magnifique .

I love the way the butterflies connected the end of the film right back to the start.
