I felt myself getting jaded and overworked while doing three major projects at school all due within a week or two of each other, writing commissions for people that did not inspire me at all (though I am getting back to doing them now that this project has been going on) . . . Turns out that this summer marks the 15th anniversary of a very special story I wrote, one that really has never been online before at all, and one that I felt could illustrate the origins of my current writing. So I've been reconstructing this novella, and really moving on it (been averaging more words per day than any day in the past two years!), and I hope to complete the rough draft this week and go back to revising it soon afterwards. If things work out, I could release it as a special eBook on Lulu in time for the actual anniversary of the copletion of the original. And just to show how things have come along, here's a screen capture of WordPerfect's properties of the story thus far. I mosaicked the name intentionally so people don't quite figure out which one this is yet. No one in fact knows besides me at this point, so it will be a pleasant surprise for friends and fans.
