Description
When Thicketstar first founded Thicketclan, the new lands were, in a word, endless. While the cats to make Thicketclan would remain in the forests that were more familiar to them, later generations would have clans pop up in the surroundings territories to give the clans the present would have.Thicketclan Territory:
The territory is filled with a thick forest with a large variety of plants from oak trees to the plentiful amount of herbs that the clan has access to. Despite this though, there is a marsh in the southeast of the territory where the border with Floodclan is and a large open meadow near the southwest when one heads to the gathering area that is a favorite hunting and training area during greenleaf especially. There are a few ponds that litter the forest these cats live in.
The North Hills- The hills to the North are said to be the direction where Thicketstar and the first cats of Thicketclan journeyed from their previous clans.
Spotted Pond - A group of one larger pond in the midst of a few smaller ones.
Tall Slopes - Up these hills leads the way to the cliffs separating Thicketclan from Gorgeclan.
Training Field - A place where mentors and apprentices hold combat training.
The Marsh Line - the border with Floodclan
Gorgeclan Territory:
A mountainous expanse around a huge gorge. Around the gorge is a very thin forest on one side and a much thicker mixed forest on the other. The cliffs are high and rocky, packing snow during leaf-bare and having caused this clan to become very skilled climbers. There is a flat sandy bank and a shallow creek thanks to the waterfall the camp has at the bottom of the gorge. This is the most northern clan and neighbors Thicketclan on the side of the gorge with the thick forest, Sunclan on the side of the thinner forest, and its creek flows into the same creek of Creekclan’s name to the south.
The Falls- Where Gorgeclan also sets their camp along small caves besides the huge waterfall.
High Cliffs and Low Cliffs - notable cliffs noted for key preys and predators. The High cliffs are not for apprentices.
Avian Perch - Noted by Gorgeclan to be a popular roost for birds of prey.
The Lookout - A cliff that overlooks the southern border and beyond.
Sharpledge - steep path that leads up to the Sunclan border
Thinning Woods - A sparse amount of trees that barely make a forest. Shared territory with Sunclan.
Sunclan Territory:
Sunclan’s territory has very few trees or bushes, sitting on the west side of Gorgeclan’s territory. Most of the area is covered by tall grass and is more known for its sandy soil. There is very noticeably no variety in the terrain height and Sunclan is often very dry compared to the other territory. There are a few boulders about, providing most of the shade for the cats that live here. Luckily, the territory does have sources of water that are mostly along the border with Creekclan.
The Hard Ground - A patch of harden ground with a few bushes.
Sandy Pass - a passage that leads from Sunclan territory to Nonclan territory over the northwestern hills
Rushing Creek - One of the many creeks separate Creekclan and Sunclan. The two clans fight over the creeks constantly.
Creekclan Territory:
The creek that runs from Creekclan’s border with Gorgeclan branches out into more creeks to run along its border with Sunclan and Floodclan, with one creek going on to run right through the middle of the territory. The rest of the territory is forest-filled with the exception of a large lake the main creek in the middle flows into.
Many Creeks - A group of several creeks and small stretches of land. Sunclan and Creekclan fight over these constantly.
The Main Creek - A large creek that offshoots from the Great River that pours into the Lake the clan has camp next to.
Sandbar - The camp
The Lake - The lake the Sandbar is next to and is Creekclan's main source of food and water.
The Field - a popular training area for apprentices to practice their hunting.
The Old Oak - A tall, elderly oak tree that medicine cats note as a good place to find their herbs.
Floodclan Territory:
Floodclan lives in an often flooded meadow. The border with Thicketclan has them sharing a marsh and on the other side, they have several creeks shared with Creekclan’s border that then also branch out to the rest of the clan’s territory, with one becoming a river. The rest of the territory is a meadow during leaf-fall and leaf-bare that gets flooded when the snow melts and overfills the creeks, river, and marshes during new-leaf and green-leaf. To the north where the gathering area is high ground, including a small but still noticeable butte that the clan uses as a secondary camp in the event their main one becomes too flooded.
The Great River - The main river that causes the flooding in the territory.
Hilltop - The primary camp the clan has. It is situation between the Great River and two smaller creeks.
Second Meadow - The meadow that borders Creekclan. Good hunting grounds for leaf-fall and leaf-bare.
First Meadow - The northern meadow that borders Thicketclan. Good hunting grounds for leaf-fall and leaf-bare.
Highlands - The main hunting grounds during new-leaf and green-leaf.
Little Butte - The secondary camp that the clan uses with Hilltop is close to or is flooded.
The Hollow:
The gathering area for the five clans, where they meet once a moon. The leaders make announcements on the rocks in the middle.
The Moon Falls:
The Falls hide a cave where cats wishing to communicate with Starclan can drink pools inside that the Falls cause.
