I rarely draw these two I’ve only ever drew them like two or three times before and it’s mainly because I wanted to come up with a new design for them. And luckily for me I did.

Ok so for Kion I had to do the nala affect with giving him her scruffy chin (from Tlk 1) and her eyes. Changed his mane color because I’m tired of the red and/or black manes for simbas offspring/descendants. So I gave Kion brown and we’ll just see how that works out for now. Instead of a broad/short cheek fluff face, I made them longer (from Ahadi) and changed his fur color ofc. Instead of the bright yellow/orange it’s more of a mixture of sarabi and simbas.

For Rani I mainly just changed her cheeks and just gave her more fluff overall to add a lil dazzle dazzle.

Personality of Kion: Kion is a pretty good kid overall, he’s super adventurous and a little rambunctious. Growing up him and kiara didn’t have the best relationship (because kiara turned all her sadness from losing her twin brother kopa into anger towards her new younger brother sort of thinking her parents replaced kopa with kion ) but of course they eventually straighten out their relationship. But this sort of took a toll on Kion and he started to isolate himself and tried his best to not be seen.

As he got older he struggled with his identity a bit because he first fell in love with Jasiri and then his friend fuli and then another lion cub in his pride named Omari. Super confused at first but he figured out he is pansexual so all is well. He is a sensitive lion and is often comparing himself to others and constantly asking himself if he’s good enough and doing well. So he’s an over thinker to sun it all up. And at this point in time kiara and his relationship is good and strong. Kion does not know of his elder brother because simba and nala thought it’d be best, but nonetheless kiara apologized to her younger brother for her behavior.

Personality of Rani: She has a hard outer shell and it’s hard for her to warm up to others which is why I’m my au she was very stand off-ish to Kion when he first came to the tree of life. The two of them had sort of a slow burn to them, first started off as strangers, then friends/allies and then became a couple.

This all happened in the span of a couple of years. Rani is very quick witted and wary. She sometimes has trouble asking for help because she believes she can handle everything but time and time again she constantly struggles to keep everything together. But outside of her hard exterior she is actually sweet and very trusting on the inside.
