Incomplete Kyuubi-adopts-Naruto sketch. And Naruto looks like he should be a DBZ character.Skip forward a few years and Naruto does get whiskermarks from being constantly exposed to youki.
Kyuubi: Eat all your rice or Inari will eat you.
Naruto: ...But I wanted ramen....

You know, the more you post from this plotbunny, the more and more I am inclined to just go 'Kyaaaaai!! Kawaiiii!!!!" anytime you do so.
I do love that he's got the whiskers now, and I love the orange outfit...it's both formal...and so definitively Naruto at the same time. I wonder what's going on with his mom and dad now...however... (Have you read Naruto Ch.367? Do you follow the recent manga?) It's obviously been a few years...and he's still with Kyuubi...whom I can assume likely just didn't bother to go out of his way to find Naru's family to return him? Seems to be the most likely scenario to me. I wonder how far away from Konoha Kyuubi found him...and how long he'd been gone for at that point...
That being said...I really want to read a story like this. So much so that I'm thinking to writing it...but at the same time...I'm horrible at dedicating myself enough (aka not procrastinating) to actually get it done.
That being said...would you be willing to let me try? (knowing full well that I've admitted that nothing may come of it?) If nothing else, I figured I'd at least ask, as I know for sure that this would be where the inspiration for this particular story would come from.

Nope, I kind of fell behind once Naruto used his RasenShuriken to kill that dude... I've been watching the Shippuuden anime though.
I haven't decided if Naruto's mom is alive in this scenario either. In all honestly I don't like female OCs much, especially if they're old enough to be paired with a canon character. If Naruto's mom has been released officially though, I suppose I could try to work her in. It's just easier to kill her off and focus on Yondy.
Speaking of, Yondy's still making discrete inquires for his son. Naruto, however, lives in a realm accessable only to supernatural beings, so it's a little hard to find him.
Yes, you can try to write out the fic if you want. I've certainly had people ask previously, whom I've never heard from again, but why not?

In chapter 367 it was revealed that Yondy was in fact Naruto's father, and his name was Namikaze, Minato, and Naru-chan's mum was Uzumaki, Kushina... a kunoichi from Whirlpool Country. And she had red hair, a tomboy, and became quite lovely when she grew up.
Sad bit about it, it was Jiraya and Tsunade talking about it to each other, and not to Naru-chan himself... who ought to be able to know.
