So, I am in the process of reading the 7th Harry Potter book still, because I haven't really had the time, and I felt like drawing my favorite character. That's right! Severus Tobias Snape!

I started out drawing him reading a potions book at home in his study near the fireplace, but then I decided that I didn't like it so I started brainstorming again. This idea popped into my head. I decided to draw it on paper instead of Photoshop CS3 like I usually do. Overall, I loved doing it all even though the Dark Mark was a pain...... I think the blue flames were pretty fun to do though.

~ It took me 10-30 minutes to sketch out
~ 30 minutes to turn Severus into lineart
~ 15 minutes to turn the Dark Mark into lineart
~ 10 minutes to add the base colors to Snape
~ 20 minutes to give the base color/texture to the Mark
~ One hour to shade Snape
~ 10 minutes to add more texture to the Dark Mark
~ 5 minutes to make the blue flames coming off his wand
~ 10-30 minutes to create the background
~ And finally, 30 minutes of thinking, typing, re-doing and finalizing the last of the details for the overall picture.
