Description Geez. They've added even more subcategories since I submitted here last. Is there really a need to be so specific?

Critique and comments welcomed and appreciated. Hope you dig.

Perfect layering of the scales. I really love all of its crazy, almost human limbs.

This is very well done. I enjoy the fact that a Tribe or village is battling this creature as if it were an everyday problem.

Such a beautiful and magnificent creation! I love the dark, carbon coloured scales edged with bright bronze-orange and placed like armour all over his body. It's tongues intrigue me. They remind me of something from a movie like "Beetlejuice". It's teeth and limbs and overall appearance is just magnificent! I love this!

goddamn this is stunning
I really like how the mouth is the center of this pic with it's bright and sharp dark color- even though the red is barely bright at all- due to the depth of this picture and how the body fades back into the distance
eee they all look screwed lol. I can't see them piercing that armor. (hell I'd like to own a scale from something like this)

Calling this piece "Salamander" really hooked me for some reason. I think it's because, when imagining things from the perspective of a foreign culture, things become skewed from your own. A salamander (I believe the origin is central american?) to its parent culture is a reptilian monster that breathes fire, but describe that to a foreigner with limited linguistic translation and they'll probably think you're talking about something completely different. A monster by any other name, I suppose? Come to think of it, drawing this monster in a simple, two-dimensional style would reveal a reptilian beast that looked as though it were breathing "tongues" of flame.

The human-like biology of the forelimbs adds a disturbing element. Good juxtaposition with the bestial biology of the hind limbs. I also really appreciate the detail of the warrior's armor, demonstrating that somewhere along the line, somehow these people found a way to defeat such an enormous monster.
