"I do not like the idea of leaving them."

Elrond smiled as Celera hopped, nervously, on the railing of the ship. "They are grown, lovely," he said as he stroked the feathers of her back, hoping to calm her. "Arwen is Queen and the twins will keep the Hidden Valley as a haven for those who need it."

Celera huffed and looked up at him. "I know, I know, but I...I still worry for them."

"The pains of being a parent." Elrond shared her worry, she was his heart and soul after all, but he knew his children could take care of themselves and, in truth, none of them were truly alone. Nor would they ever be. And, should they choose, they could join him and their mother in the Undying Lands. "We will see them again someday. But for now we must live. All of us."

"Not all of us," Celera looked towards where Bilbo Baggins stood and Elrond followed her gaze, seeing what only they and Galadriel would ever see. The figure standing, waiting, for the Halfling. "His adventure will end soon."

Elrond nodded. "But another will begin. Death is never the end."

Celera gave a soft twittering sound as she took flight.
