Description After numerous months studying head construction methods, I realized that Loomis, Reilly and ASARO weren't for me. It was a hard breakup, but I'm sure they've found it in their collective hearts to move on to someone better...

...or I'd like to think, 'cept they all dumped me one after another, shattering my heart with every slam of the door!

The "Mask" method is something I've picked up on since and its really stacking 3 shapes stacked atop one another in this order:

CIRCLE  (forms the upper skull for hair)

BOX/SQUARE (forms the middle skull for eyebrows eyes and provides a guideline for where the ears begin)

TRIANGLE/TRAPEZOID (forms the lower skull, where the nose, mouth and chin will be)

Using this method, I don't make a proper circle, rather its a spiral shape that is circular, with the beginning part of the spiral being my center point.

Yes, its weird, but being a very visual-centric person, more stricter, orderly methods such as the listed waifus (Loomis, Reilly, Asaro) just don't quite stick with me. I do utilize SOME elements from them at times but it feels bit too restrictive for a right-hemisphere brain artist like me.

Maybe there are folks out there similar to me in this regard, maybe not! I just wanted to show there are many ways to draw something and it feels nice to be free of rules and guidelines sometimes.
