Thank you so much!

Oh, and I had an AWESOME color lecture today in Art class! My teacher, the same phenomenal one who helped me improve my art style, gave some crucial tips that should really enable me to get to the next level! I've really been only focusing on two dimensions of color before now, but now that he's explained the how, why, and what of the third, I'm excited to get more into painting (digitally, and also traditionally for the class).

Hehe, just wanted to share my happiness with a friend. ^_^

It is a very good news! I'm glad you're more motived to draw. People always learn a lot with a master.

Good luck to get the "third dimension" into your paintings!

Hehe, a little bit of an update--for the first time, I really got the same feeling from painting as I do when drawing--that is, I was able to paint while working from a model, with my music playing, and really feel like I was understanding what I was doing and getting somewhere... That was new for me, but you're really right about the whole master thing.

My favorite thing is the variety of textures you included. The hair, the furs, the armor, the feet, the swords, the skin, the cloak... All very distinct, which is cool.

Why does he have fur wrapped around his knees though?
And again, nice job pudging up the broodling.

It was something I felt added a unique touch to his costume, and added some unity to the piece. Functionally, I think it would help keep his legs warm since he's a ranger, and then there's the fact that I'm not exactly sure how Barrack's feet transition to the legs, so I leave it up to the imagination and also think that the fur provides some kind of support or something. Also, they likely slide up when he bends his knee, due to the looseness of the material.

More than anything, though, I think it improved the costume design to break up otherwise monotonous pants and repeat the fur motif to lend the costume more unity.
