I'm kinda serious here.The only time Shadow has ever laughed or smiled in canon is when he's being an asshole to somebody.
I mean, this is Shadow in the ending where he's a dark hero. He's happy, right? He MUST be happy! He's doing the right thing mostly, and he's kicked Sonic's ass. Everybody wins! Yet he's laughing almost exactly the same as when he's getting hiked to take over the galaxy or bust up the world.
See, THIS is why Shadow doesn't smile much in the games.
