Illarisa felt angry, angrier than she had ever felt before. Her parents, her stupid, idealistic parents, had gone and gotten themselves killed by a predator. They had both been members of the adventurers guild, and both had felt the need to answer the call to arms to aid the gravekeepers with their annual Wyld hunt. It wasn treally that she disagreed with their descision to go that made her angry, she would have gone in a heartbeat if they would allow kits, it was the fact that they had been weak enough to die. Weak enough to leave her alone in this horrible den with all these stupid happy kits and folks. She was so angry she wanted to cry, it certainly wasnt because she missed then, and she felt lonely, no she was just... angry. That what she'd tell herself. They always taught her to be strong, they knew the world wasn't fair and they tried to prepare her for that. So strong is what she'd be.she'd be stronger than they were, strong enough tha no predator would be able to take her down. But she wasn't stupid, she couldn't do it all alone. The great tree and its folk needed more than just her, others needed to be strong too, strong enough to not die.
that night Illarisa lay in bed with these thoughts and more whirling around her brain, sleep was hard to come by. Eventually she slipped into the darkness, falling deeper and deeper untill with a jolt her eyes opened again. But instead of being surrounded by the walls of her room in the den, with the soft snoring of her roomate echoing in the darkness she found herself in a ruined hellscape, rain falling heavily onto her skin. But the scenery could not hold her attention the way the being in front of her did, she stared transfixed at the creaure. It was bigger than any folk she'd ever seen, it was dripping with what she could only guess was the creautres blood. But more important that any of its features was the fact that this creature radiated raw power. It offered her power, more than any folk she knew possesed, enough to kill a predator even with her small kit physique. Illarisa accpeted without hesitation, she didnt care what price the being wanted in return she would happily serve it in any way it asked.
When she awoke, she felt like a brand new folk. There was something there that hadn't been before, some kind of presence in the back of her head. It was quiet, but it was powerful. And more than that, she could feel the power in her own claws, if she were to be honest, she was almost afraid of it. She knew if she wasnt careful, she could cause real damage, and she would get in real danger. she would have to be careful, and seek out a way to gain full mastery of it in a way that wouldnt harm other folk.
