cross hashing shading, very well done. The lighting is set up well letting the sources general area be known. I've seen blade wielders have one weapon "backwards" but to fight with both... it takes skill most others don't have. The action in the pose shows he knows how to use them with stabbing himself (or affecting the wardrobe either). The patience to this must have worn thin (either that or you got distracted/enthralled while doing so it didn't seem monotonous). The only question I have (besides background story stuff) is did you use pen or pencil? It's (on this screen) black so it looks like pen but scanning can make it darker, but either way this is really well done. Again good luck on your next work, and life.

Cross hatching, huh? Shines a new light on your pictures...gives it a bit more life! The foot looks a little big, but everything else looks great.

Whoa, that's excellent! You did very well with the shading here.. like there is cross-hatching all over and it doesn't look messy at all! I think that's fitting because cross-hatching tends to look a little scratchy at times.. and since he's in battle and stuff, that will make him look like he really is in a fight.. so yeah. It definitely works in a positive way for you! Well-done! Interesting pose, too XD There's a lot of black around so I had to squint to see his pose.. what a big foot!
His face looks a little squished for some reason.. but otherwise very impressive!
