10 years after the Calamity was defeated and sealed away…

Link and Zelda decided to ride to the south-eastern part of their world, away from Hyrule in order to get in contact with other places to re-establish the prosperity of Hyrule, and perhaps even discover something new. While they were out at sea, Link started training with his Master Sword and Hylian Shield against a sandbag dummy under the deck, in case anything were to attack. Zelda was on the starboard side of the ship, taking some pictures of the sea, and seeing fish species she didn't find at home. She heard a Lizalfos hiss, as it started climbing on deck, looking for a source of meat. She gasped, backing away from the monster. The cross eyed standing lizard hissed, and starting coming at Zelda, wielding a small dagger. Link heard the hisses of the Lizalfos below deck, and hurried up to the deck of the ship, carrying his sword and shield quickly to the top deck, stopping the Lizalfos from trying to make Zelda become a source of protein. A single thwack, and the Lizard Monster went off the side of the boat, poofing into a purple cloud, dropping some valuables. Link looked at the valuable materials, a bit concerned. "Monsters don't exist after Calamity Ganon was defeated, do they?" Zelda gets back to her feet, holding the Shieka Slate. Link stayed silent, unable to answer that specific question. After picking up the materials, the captain shouted. "Land ho'! We reached the island, Princess Zelda!" Link looked over to the small port of a town, most of the species there was Hylians, but some like Zoras and Ritos were there. They docked, and got off the Ship, it was peaceful with Seagulls being seagulls, and some fish jumping out of the water. The town's general store was already out of stock with their wares to newcomers, making a lot of Rupees unexpectedly. Link didn't mind, as he was following Zelfa, as she was walking on the pathway inside of a forest, looking at the map. "Such a small place, I'm surprised everyone bought all the general store stock. But remember why we are here, Link, not going shopping, we need to fix Hyrule up a little bit, we want some helpers where we can." Link nods, Hyrule castle did need to be rebuilt, it still is 10 years later after the Calamity. Link heard shuffling in some of the bushes, but found no one staring at him. Conflicted, he tried finding who was, and, despite searching, found nothing but foliage. He rubbed his head and continued with Zelda. After walking through the sturdy vine bridge, they arrived in a village of moving plants, being there like usual. The south hill can look down to the docks. Link was confused, so was Zelda, unaware of what these plant-like species was, and tried asking the Rito, who was selling Arrows to whom has the ability to use them. "They're Deku Scrubs, they don't usually appear in Hyrule, but they're cute sometimes, just make sure you don't cut any trees down, it's one of their laws, according to their king." "What fascinating creatures." Zelda says, staring at a child Deku, who was wondering who she was. Link asked where the king exactly was, but the Rito just shrugged. "Maybe to that point in the north, it's kind of tricky to get past, but maybe you'll solve a mystery." Link nodded, paying for some arrows, and went north, telling Zelda to stay here for a minute while he checks.

The path north was very much like the Lost Forest back in Hyrule, however, there isn't alot of fog, and easy signs allowed him to get through it easily. It was reaching sunset once he made it to a huge palace that looks to have combined Hylian and Deku Scrub Architecture into one. Two servant looking Deku Scrubs took the place of some Guards, and stood there. A blue leaved Servant and a Red leaved servant stood, whereas one looked friendly, and the other, not so much, more of a guard type himself. Link tried going in, but was stopped by both of them, bit only the red one pushed him back. "Ehm, mister? It isn't time for Princess Madilyn's birthday yet..-" "Yes, now scram." The Blue one was interrupted, Link gets back up to his feet, brushing himself off and ask who they were. "Well, my name is Gilbert, this is my brother Konoma, my oldest brother is helping, and talking to Madilyn, she doesn't like the dress, and doesn't understand why she needs to wear it, which, I don't either." "It's because of the King wanting to follow the old traditional way of dressing up important, especially even if it's a Birthday." The two explained, Link nodded, and asked if he could come in. "No." They both said, then Gilbert started a sentence. "B-but, we can if it's the time for her birthday. So please come to her once it reaches night time, okay?" The Blue Leaf Deku said, with some joy in his tone. Link started thinking when he was walking away, then snapped his fingers, and went back to the village, which was shorter now, thanks to an alternate pathway he took to leave. Once be got back, some Dekus got some valuable stuff, either like Spare Rupees, or an ore of some sort, and started heading north. Link moved out of the way, and got Zelda up. "What-what? Is- where are they all going at a time like this?" Zelda asked, Link responded to her that it's a Birthday party for a Princess to them. "Really? That sounds a bit nice, I thought they were a bit independent, but it isn't that much of a deal to visit another princess on their day, now wouldn't it?" Zelda smiled a bit, and Link led the way. Making sure Zelda didn't take the wrong path, they arrived at the Palace, which seemed bustling with different kinds of Deku Scrubs, both armless and armed. They all seemed pretty excited, along with their kinds of treasure they want to give. The two servants didn't stop them, however, Konoma did not look pleased, which Link can't express why. It looked nice on the inside, which was aligned with some pictures of perhaps the most oldest and well preserved paintings of the Deku Ancestry line. The years were scratched off, so Link doesn't know when these ancestors lived, but he does feel a bit familiar with 3 of them. "This is pretty amazing architecture, it looks like it was collaborated with Hylian architecture as well.." Zelda looks around, amassed with how big and well planned this looked. A servant tapped on Link's shoulder. "Excuse me sir, are you two known to be Link and Zelda, the ones who opposed the Calamity and destroyed it?" He asked calmly, his hands behind his back. He, along with Zelda, nodded. "Yes, why are you asking?" The servant bowed to them both as a sign of respect. "Pleasure to meet you both, and happy to make your acquaintance, I am Zocoro, the oldest of my 2 other siblings, and more balanced and more into the old ways of serving than the two. I'll be looking forward to having you both here, since tonight is a special kind of night.. Though, I don't see why the king wants to follow an old tradition, his daughter doesn't really want to wear the dress.." The servant says, thinking to himself. "She'll be out in a minute, I promise." He attends to other things, leaving the two guests alone for a while.

Madilyn looked at herself in the mirror, really not wanting to wear the dress, it looks like feathers to her. "How can anyone back then wear this? I swear I'm the only one that doesn't want to wear this." She grumbled to herself, her arms don't fit all the way out. The room was a somewhat circular room with 2 windows on both sides, her bed has a large green blanket with a symbol of a Deku Scrub on it, as well as a closet with only a few clothes, although most of them don't either fit, or really unnecessary for her to wear. "I'm only ten, I know I can't wear this… then again, it isn't polite wearing pajamas on my birthday, so I guess I'll have to wear this… just for today, I hate wearing this, and I don't want to again." She says, sighing, getting out of her room, making her way into the main area, she heard her father talking, although she really doesn't care about what he's talking about, something about ceremonial stuff and her mother, which she hated. She wished her mother was still alive, or even around, she doesn't know what happened to her. After a little while after he was done with his speech, she started going downstairs, looking around her, there was alot of Dekus, and only 2 Hylians, she didn't know who they were, but she proceeded to sit down at a much smaller throne than the King's, mostly because of how big he was compared to her. The Deku Scrubs started to line up to give her the items for her respect, mostly, some of it was Rupees, some was treasure. At the end, Link and Zelda were up next. Madilyn stared at the two, unsure of why they were here. Link, who didn't really have much for her, gave her a Silver Rupee, which seems to excite the 10 year old Deku Scrub a little bit, since the silver rupee was really the only highest amount of currency she actually obtained. She stares at the rupee for a little bit, then Zelda uses the camera on the Slate, ready to take a picture. "Here, little one, we're gonna say 'Happy Birthday' on 3, okay?" The two Hylians grouped with Madilyn, Zelda gets ready to take a Selfie. "1...2...3!" Click! The Shieka Slate captured the moment of the trio in Picture Form.
