part of a challenge circulating around dA. original: [link]figured this was a good challenge for me since i don't work with expressions very much. i just chose candy cane laine ( [link] ) and gave it a try.

You nailed them all rather well. The expressions of shock and rage would have been a little more dramatic if you allowed a little whiteness to separate the iris from all edges of the eyes. Enlarging the eye and/or shrinking the iris makes this easier, and would have been completely appropriate for your style.

Oh, yeah. You should try your skills at a more narrative piece. Just have two characters making completely opposite expressions at each other and your audience will fill in the details.
