I've been reading some HP Lovecraft recently. At The Mountains of Madness, to be specific and I really was enjoying it, and the descriptions of the Elder Things found there.... All until they were said to have a musical piping sort-of language and my brain went "That must mean they sound like Clangers then" and wouldn't let me forget it. So I decided to do this...

Clangers was a lovely little British stop-motion kids show featuring small whistling pink mice who lived on the moon, it was great! As was the rest of Oliver Postgate’s Smallfilms work. Go check it out!
