Lokier after having been augmented by Obito and Zetsu in an experiment to try place Kaguya's essense into her body, much like what Kabuto did with a piece of Orochimaru. The experiment is, however, a failure, as Lokier's body cannot hold Kaguya's form for long and inevitably Kaguya is transferred to Madara instead.
Left for dead on the battle ground Lokier, unknown to everyone else, survives this otherwise fatal transfer but is left with permanent cracks on her face and horns protuding from her skull. She is left in constant pain thereafter and must keep her face damp at all times.
