Here they are,the ladies of the Legacy of Kain universe(oy,not that many eh?).Personally,i could care less if there are women in video in video games or not because frankly,most female game characters really suck.Ok,the Seer isn't so bad,at least she's intelligent..though,heh,heh,she looks like she's about ready to jump on Kain(of course,what woman wouldn't...
) .This was actually a pretty quick project,taking only 2 and a half hours.Some elements of their costumes are different from in the game because i wasn't in front of the computer and going from memory(and i added some intentional changes). Was going add the Priestess from SR1,but she kind of doesn't count as a main female character because she never ended up in the game sadly.Each lady was drawn with ball-point ink pen on an individual 3 inch by 5 inch index card,then painted with india ink,air bush paint,and a little acrylic paint.Alas,my dummy scanner loves making anything i paint look like shit,thus the color are much more pale and shitty looking than on the originals.
Oh,yes,and those funny symbols? Let's see if you can figure them out!

I like how you draw their hair. The seer is definatly my favourite out of these characters.

Agrees, I don't miss women from the series either, when the story is not female-centric (like Heavy Metal and such and their barbaric female main heroes) women in a story usually sucks, especially when it follows the cliche of falling in love with the main hero.
Good thing LoK has less women in it's story with short roles, the Seer was wise, Ariel is already a spirit, and the others are mad guardians, only Umah sucks. Her presence tended to track Kain's story into something romance was very-very out of character and lame (too bad Kain didn't left her captive in the Sarafan Keep, she should have been wiped out of the story much earlier)
Nice drawing, I like the curls of the hair, face-paint and the curls around their runes, really decorative

I had originaly started out with a different phrase for Umah,but was too long to fit in the drawing and it wasn't appropriate for dA.
Most females in video games are just romancey damsels in distress or just a pair of boobs and a crotch on screen.Then again,the games targeted to women are coverd in pink and have girly looking dudes.
I just left out everyone's eyes because while india ink looks great,it runs and smears worse than watercolors.I had to be super careful not to add too much water to my ink,other wise it would go in every direction on the paper,making it next to impossible to add small details like eye balls.
