So Rantaro isnt the 'real' Izuru, he signed up for the experiment but it failed, so he was dismissed. However it worked ssslightly, leaving him to occasionally go 'Izuru mode' (N o t DID; more like Ishida. Still the same person with the same memories, just an extremely different personality)
Once in the killing game, he still doesn't remember his talent (but this was because of the experiment). when Tsumugi goes to bonk him, he spins around because haha Izuru mode go brr and gets hit on the forehead instead. Instead of dying, Izuru is just like "hey thats not very cash money" and Tsumugi freaks out because 'oh shit hes not dead'
Izuru basically tells her to fuck off and not try that shit (and because edgy his hair gets real long and his eyes turn red), and she runs away panicked.
He passes out and Izuru goes away. When Kaede and Shuichi show up they find some strange guy with long hair in Rantaro's clothes.
This shows them questioning him about whats good lmao
