Oof, now that those posters are out of the way, I can start posting other artwork I've done over the course of last year! Among our regular exercises, every week we would receive a "seed word" or prompt to create a new image based on it. One week, I happened to miss the order and had to catch up, so I combined the two prompts, "fame" and "fun" into one image and philosophy. These were my thoughts on it at the time of creation~

These last couple of years have been my most productive ever in terms of creativity and inspiration. I feel that I've acquired a fair amount of technical skill as well as watched my artwork evolve stylistically to a satisfactory degree, and I've also gotten the inspiration to write and illustrate my own original comic story. This journey has been incredibly fun and fulfilling, to the point where I had a sort of epiphany over the summer: I realized that the point of life is to have fun and pursue fun, regardless of what form that takes for us. Realizing that left me feeling euphoric for days. I want to spend my life pursuing my interests and enjoying the things I enjoy - and maybe every now and then explore and express them through my artwork. That said, I don't find fame necessary for this process, even though I would like to leave a small mark on the world as much as the next artist. The stories I'm writing and pictures I'm drawing are always from the heart, and I want to protect them as much as I want to share them with others. So long as I can enjoy creating, I'm fine with blending in and living under the radar. If just one person enjoys my work, that is enough for me.
