i really like your colour decisions for this piece! red and green are compliments and cause visual tension and intensity, yet here they seem so secondary next to the blue of the eyes. i really love how you intensified the eye colour making the eyes the focal point. i look at all elements of the picture, but my eyes always go back there. also, i really enjoy how the figure seems to be slightly fading away. your comment celebrates the changing of the seasons and i definately get a sense of that transition within the piece (upper right emerging bold colours and the fading away of the lower portion--elements of black).
this is truly an amazing image.

i think that we, as artists, create things using our instincts for the most part. but what i've learned through my 5.5 years of art education is that there's always something more to it...something deeper involved even if you don't know it at the moment
