Description

Cottonwood trees are the only large trees in Cheyenne country. They grow in dense groves in the river and creek valleys that criss-cross the prairy. Cottonwood groves are among our favourite camping grounds, especially in winter when the mighty trees provide some much-needed shelter against the harsh weather. And the ponies nibble at their bark when the frozen ground provides no longer grass.

But now the Vé'hó'e are flooding our land. Their cattle herds graze away the grass and their men turn on the cottonwood trees. They have already completely chopped down several groves and forever ruined several winter retreats. They destroy everything!

I say: Destroy what destroys you!
