Lore:
- Demotnix: A wizard who botched a spell and turned himself into the evil Dr. Demotnix. He is hellbent on bringing more demons to Blitz's home planet in order to rule the world.
- Tolly: A bat-eared fox born with magic powers and a third eye. Tolly is always happy to help others using his abilities, but he's seemingly always tired.
- Sal: A member of the Echidna tribe of snakes who was tricked by Dr. Demotnix into helping with an evil scheme, but he eventually sides with Blitz and Co when he realizes the Doctor's treachery. He can use the frills on his head to glide and rapidly accelerate.
Artist's note:
I had fun drawing these ones, so I'll go over them in order.
Demotnix: He was the first one I drew, and is Eggman's counterpart in Blitz the Porcupine. I wanted to make a slightly more uncanny version of Robotnik. the first reason is apparently there's no "faker" version of Eggman yet and I wanted to try my hand at the idea, the second reason is that I love comic's interpretation of Eggman and how menacing he is.
So, to follow up with the fakers gimmick of looking a lot like the character they're trying to mimic, but with noticeable differences. I darkened Eggman's color pallet, gave him a sharper mustache, removed his mouth, and gave him bright yellow "goggles" that are actually his eyes.
Tolly: He was the second, and is Tails's counterpart. Originally I wanted to go the Demotnix route for him, but then I decided to change the type of fox he's based on, as well as give him another method of flying since I wasn't going to give him two tails. Which is where Tolly's psychic powers come into play, as well as his third eye.
Another reason why I wanted to give Tolly some type of magic is because Demotnix is a wizard instead of an inventor, so I wanted that change to carry over to Tolly as well since Tails is often depicted as a heroic foil to Eggman's evil genius.
Other than that, I just wanted to make a cool fox.
Sal: He was the last one I drew, and is the Knuckles counterpart. The reason why he's a snake instead of some kind of rodent is because while looking up drawings of Knuckles to base his design on, I stumbled on the Echidna from greek mythology. So Sal being a snake is basically cause I thought it was gonna be funny.
I wanted to give Sal robotic looking limbs because snakes in the sonic universe usually have them, since, well, snakes don't normally have arms and legs.
