Lore: Bitz and the gang pinpointed the source of the demons and found Xintomed's lab. Thinking that it was another one of the good, but aloof doctor's experiments gone wrong that they'd have to clean up, they didn't hesitate to enter the area. But what they found was far more than they imagined.

The room was almost pitch black, the only thing illuminating Xinto's old lab being the orangish yellow lights overhead.
They found no sign of his usual botched rituals, nor did they find him at the entrance coughing and heaving like he usually does when one of his tests goes awry.

Blitz went further into the lab to investigate, and there he found Xinto knocked out on the floor, a haunting yellow light shining above him. But he thought nothing of it as he rushed over to the doctor and tried to get him back on his feet.... but his body felt cold.

Blitz took him back to the others, saying that he must have gotten knocked out in the ensuing chaos. But Tolly sensed something... wrong with him, so he told Blitz to set Xinto down and back away from him. Then as he walked towards the others, Xinto shambled to his feet and started to jitter.

Blitz greeted the doctor as he started to wake up. But then Xinto clutched his head in agony. His skin becoming pale, his arms lengthening and growing eye-like growths on his forearms, and his mouth vanishing as he convulsed right in front of them.

Blitz and the gang were startled by the doctor's sudden change, Tolly holding Blitz and Sala back as they tried to rush over to help the doctor.

And then a voice spoke to Blitz and the gang from the room itself.

"This "doctor" has been toying with forces he could never hope to understand, and this is his punishment for overstepping the boundary between our world. He is no longer himself, and now you must suffer the wrath of my new puppet. Demotnix"

[and that's where I'm gonna stop for now]

Y'know, I kind of think he looks like a gibdo from ToTK. And with that non sequitur out of the way, I kind of wanted to make a creepier version of Demotnix's design for his "unleashed" form, mostly because Demotnix's concept is kind of inspired by Faker/Exe and I wanted to make something funny.

I wanted him to look more disheveled and hunched over, but I still wanted him to look "human" like since he's still mostly Xintomed appearance wise. But I also wanted to give him claws and arms based on the werehog, cause I imagine him having similar abilities [minus the stretchy power].

Also this is the first time I drew a character hunched over like this, and I think I did better than I thought I'd do.

However, one thing I kinda wanted to shy away from is blood, mostly cause even though I still like bloody horror monsters, I kind of think we need a bit more non-bloodied up ones.

As for the lore, I've been thinking about it for a bit, and I think now's the time to really show it. Other than that, I think it's cool.

Amy's counterpart would be cat named Mallow who tinkers with electronics, and has a bit of a friendly relationship with Blitz even though he sometimes messes with her machines.

Metal Sonic's counterpart would be some sort of golem or demon created by Demotnix, but his personality doesn't really change that much except for the fact that he's a bit more violent.

And although my main plan is to only go with the classic sonic characters (Sonic 1 through CD), I may sprinkle in Mighty and Ray but I have no idea what they'll be.
