alternatively it's a spellbook and Margot's just trying a new technique, which is more likely but not as fun.
Nesreen's using a wand while Margot's just using her hands because in this universe wands are more of a tool to help give novice witches more control over what they're doing. Margot is Not a Novice and she's probably going super easy on Nesreen right now
