Very cool. Your great sense of humor really makes it.
I take it Mike is a child of the 80's; going by the background faces on this.

Really well painted. The face on the top right looks a lot like Jarreth from Labyrinth.

I can never be bothered with hate of any kind - too draining and destructive ......except for salt and vinegar potato chips - I hate the little buggers, coz they will never just let me eat one of them.

Awesome job and sounds like a fun idea! Good luck to your friend, though after a cover like this, the interior art (no matter how good) will be a let down. Dave, gotta say it, that IS David Bowie! I saw it right away. Sorry. I'll be bold- I think you need to change it.

Cheers man! Yes, I painted myself into a corner with the goblin king
- I left him til last and realized I had gone with a style that wasn't cartoony enough to make him a little more generic and even though I tried to make it look like the goblin king without necessarily being Bowie, its just ended up like a bad drawing of Bowie
. Oh well, Mikes happy and thats the important bit - If he needs it changed, I will do, otherwise I think I'll leave it and deal with the screaming piles of work yet to do
Always great to have you pop by man!

I buy the vampires, werewolves, ogre (goblin?), ninjas, David Bowie from βLabyrinthβ, and even the bipedal peg-leg stance, but putting opposable thumbs on a pug stretches credulity to the breaking pointβ¦ and I was so ready to believeβ¦

He's a genetic abnormality - soon all pugs will evolve opposable thumbs, learn to use photocopiers and take all the jobs at Kinkos. Its a scientific inevitability.
