Day three of my own personal 'How fast is your spaceship?' week of scifi nerdiness. Today, Farscape...Wacky Henson Creature Shop aliens, amazing costumes, entertaining dialogue... what wasn't there to Frelling love!

We never could find this for viewing, sad really, especially as we have quite a few Henson films, other than the Muppet movies.

The aliens were created by the Jim Henson creature shop which was what attracted me to the show in the first place.

It was quite different and I loved it for it. Strangely enough the recent Guardians of the Galaxy movie felt a bit like Farscape to me - smart alec lead with pop cultural references that no-one else knew, dysfunctional group of a weird bunch of aliens and both had a sentient plant (Groot and Zhaan)

I watched this show all the way through in the mid 2k's when Sci-fi channel was having a marathon. It seems I always find amazing shows after they're gone. It's right up there with Star Trek, Buffy, Stargate, Firefly and MLP:FiM as far as fav shows ever. So many emotional moments.Β

Well Crichton wasn't. I was hoping every episode he would die and get replaced by Scorpius as a crew member.
I was also hoping the same for Deanna Troi. They should have beamed her into space and add some brand new Quantum torpedoes instead. "I am feeling a big anticipation on this ship", would have been her last words...Β
