Day three of my own personal 'How fast is your spaceship?' week of scifi nerdiness. Today, Farscape...Wacky Henson Creature Shop aliens, amazing costumes, entertaining dialogue... what wasn't there to Frelling love!

I occasionally catch re-airings of it on Pivot. It's good, dated, but good. I still have a strong preference for Firefly though.

Farscape was lucky in that it had at least 4 seasons.... but Firefly got cancelled WAY too soon. Damn you Fox Network!!

The way they sorta, then didn't, but did pull the plug on the show was pretty un-frelling lovable...
Tell ya the truth, it was about 20 years ahead of its time. Β If they made it today, it would be epic. Β Muppets and all. Β Still need to have Claudia Black in it, though. Β Man, did I have a thing for her...!
Great show, though. Β I was a big fan. Β Another one I'd like to see re-done, upgraded and released on Blu-Ray.

Glad you like and I'm happy to be stirring up your Farscape memories. Really was a great show and Claudia Black rocks!Β I know they have just re-released the show to bluray, but I don't think they redid the FX or anything so I'm not sure what the quality is like.
I also heard a recent rumour about a possible movie, which could be great.... fingers crossed.

Just got back from a trip to amazon.com. Β It IS on Blu-Ray. Β Unfortunately, from the reviews, it doesn't look like they did anything to improve it. Β So, apparently, it is not an upgrade from the DVD set.
Gonna have to think on this a while.
Oh well...Β
A movie might be nice. Β How many of those Aussie actors are still around, though, I wonder. Β Some of those folks should be getting a little long in the tooth by now. Β You know... like me.
